Good value, room was compact, staff were very welcoming! Also, location was particularly good, close to Ullapool harbour. The area was adequate, a handy base for me.
The bathroom was very dated, I didn't like it.

The units are en suite in shower over bath. Cereals, toast and baked buns provided. The location is marvellous, 4 km from a small town. The service is good, includes free parking.
The staff - some of them were abrupt.

After booking the Caledonian hotel I read some quite negative reviews which I think comletely unfounded. I thought the hotel was great. Tremendous value for money, exceptionally clean, a fantastic location, friendly helpfule staff and the worlds best breakfast. I will definitely be back.

Hotel is in a great location near the harbour, close to the pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was excellant with great choice.
The floorboards are all loose, surrounding noise was bad, especially as a coach party was leaving at 7am. Our shower was poor and such a tiny old fashioned tv.

Location
No shower soap in dispenser in shower,my freind in another room had the same problem.Overall decor and craftsman finish to batthroom fittings and sealing areas aroun the bath/floor were of poor amatuer standard . This room (21)and my friend's (18) was not a £50 room per night.£35 Is nearer the mark.The Breakfast was of the same standard,POOR, scrambled eggs were hard and burnt.

Barman could be more pleasant, meal menu was not changed for the two nights we stayed there and very poor choice of main meals

Friendly and Helpful Staff.
The shower and bath had hardly any water coming out and was very poor. Although comfortable bed the decor could do with a lot of updating.
